contemplation
Written by my professor on the last page of my term paper for my 20th century music lit class:
You are an excellent writer. Your draft was in great shape, and your paper even better. Congratulations. I would encourage you to think about a way you can incorporate writing into your career. Such a talent!

That just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. XD

28th-Oct-2007 11:35 pm - Orgy Bus!
inspiration
So yesterday I spent a total of 10 hrs on the bus only to ultimately start and end my trip at the same place. The marching band traveled all the way to Minneapolis to play a 10 minute show in the Metrodome and drive back. On the way back, we stopped in Mankato at the Old Country Buffet for dinner. By some random quirk, my bus--bus 6--ended up being the first bus to arrive and hence, the first bus to eat. :D

After dinner, I was hanging out on the bus. I heard some people talking about an "orgy bus" but wasn't listening too closely. I thought they were talking about turning one of the buses into an orgy bus. However, I soon got a good glimpse of that which they spoke. The Orgy Bus looked like a shuttle bus or something, and inside was at least a dozen girls wearing nothing but white panties and tank tops. They were standing there dancing and there were blue and green colored lights that would flash from inside the bus. As I saw the Orgy bus, I knew my eyes must have gone wide as the only coherent thought that occurred to me was WTF?! An orgy bus in the middle of Minnesota--who'd've thought.

We got back to college town close to 1am last night and then I slept almost until noon. Then I worked and got beat up. Now I'm feeling the pleasantly dizzying effects of my glass of wine.

how coherent is this entry anyways??

Hmmm. After I wrote my last entry things started to look up. However, I am still deeply concerned over my possible need to take calc II. Considering it's been 4 years since I've taken calculus, much less any math class, I think calculus II would be HELL. Umm, and I'm also looking at taking 17 credits, when I was hoping for 13.

Now hopefully I'll be able to go to bed early--I was up late and was running around all morning. I had 2 tests, a meeting with my adviser, and another issue that just kinda pushed me over the edge a little bit. Fun! So now off to focus on more school work. The fun never ends!

I fucking hate days like today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
15th-Oct-2007 09:42 pm - New Car!
Oh, my goodness, it's been awhile since I've updated. Hmmm.

Happy news! I'm getting a new car! A real car, not my mom's old car which is driving me nuts. And lately it's been getting very, very bad mileage - like less than 20 mpg on the highway. Ugh. The new car will be a ford focus--made in this current decade to boot. The car I have now is almost as old as I am!

I now possess a game cube and a Mario DDR game to go with it. I'm so happy with the DDR, and I have yet to kill myself. All is good.

In other news--today was a very shitty day. Literally. I even lost my shit at work. ;) Seriously, I accidentally spilled a liquid manure sample. Oops.

16th-Aug-2007 03:19 pm - what am I thinking?
This morning at work went as usual, except for one occurance. One of the chemists, Brian, came into the lab to grab a glass jar and was like "wanna see something cool?" He seemed excited so and another student and I followed him into the hall where other chemists had gathered around. On the floor was what at first looked like a tadpole. Brian put on a plastic glove and picked up the "body" part of what I thought was a tadpole and put it in the jar. Next, he put in the parasitic worm that had just crawled out of and killed the cricket in the jar. What was weird, was people actually saw the worm crawl out of the cricket. Brian, being Brian, was very excited. Anyways, I guess he was going to send the cricket and worm to the parasitology professor on campus who happens to be my advisor too.

After work, I found a website that would list a word or short phrase and you're supposed to enter in the first thing you think of. The one time I did not enter what I was thinking was for the word "pensi". I think some part of my brain is dislexic or something.

Here are some things I encountered:
"Battlestar Galactica" - my repsone: rocks my world (no matches)
"are whores" - my response: men (1 match)
"old republic" - my response: Star Wars (4 matches)
"belly dancing" - my response: sexy (1 match)

I also wrote down some very random things too. Well, more so that listed.

I have work again this evening. And then the Loud One and the short Hyper One will pay me a visit tomorrow. Mayhem shall ensue. XP
